Beneath the Docklands Light Railway in Canary Wharf, London, lies an unused and overlooked public space. We were selected by the Borough of Tower Hamlets, Developers Rockwell and Landscape Architects EX-A to activate this space as part of a new development on the Ilse of dogs, Canary Wharf in London.
We designed a series of modular elements that are interchangeable and easily rearranged by a forklift. They were designed to offer ideal movement training opportunities integrated amongst accessible and aesthetic tiered seating, platforms and planters.
The inclusion of parkour was a integral contributor in securing the whole project and gaining planning approval by providing engaging social and accessible benefits
for the community.
